DID YOU KNOW?
Oregon could have free, high-quality, patient-driven, accessible health care for the working class VERY SOON! And we are committed to fighting to make it happen!
Want to help? Join Care Corps!
Care Corps is Portland DSA’s universal healthcare campaign, working closely with the Healthcare for All Oregon’s project to bring free healthcare to all Oregon residents. Where Healthcare for All Oregon focuses on policy and implementation, Care Corps invites people to join a mass movement to win these vital services for our communities.
What does Care Corps do?
Care Corps is building the mass movement that will give momentum to the statewide campaign for Healthcare for All. Care Corps will be developing material to communicate the idea of universal healthcare to diverse communities, and then to hit the streets and bring that message to the people! We will be distributing information, canvassing, and having conversations with our neighbors to push forward our agenda of free, high-quality healthcare for all Oregonians. When we need to mobilize people to show up and make demands, Care Corps will be coordinating those mobilizations and helping people make their voice heard.
How to get involved
Care Corps has regular meetings like any other DSA working group; the easiest way to start is to attend one!
General Care Corps meetings are every first and third Sunday of the month, at 4pm. Find the next meeting on the chapter calendar here.
